Private security, in the sense of the Law on Private Security (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 104/2013, 42/2015, and 87/2018), includes providing services or performing tasks related to the protection of individuals, property, and business through physical and technical security when such tasks are not exclusively within the jurisdiction of state authorities.
This also covers tasks such as the transportation of money, valuables, and other shipments, maintaining order at public gatherings, sports events, and other places where citizens congregate (security service), which are carried out by legal entities and entrepreneurs registered for this activity, as well as legal entities and entrepreneurs who have established an internal security organization for their own needs (self-defense activities).
